Web 2.0 is fun, but deciding what you're going to use can be the real challenge. It takes time to do it all. Is it worth your time to use Twitter?
How much is it worth to you to be able to quickly connect with your customers
without postage stamps or undeliverable email? Twitter makes it possible for you to stay connected with your costomer and let them know what your working on. IE:
that big Black Friday sale. It's also a way for you to gain new customers quickly
and easily.
Email marketing is basically useless these days, you can't guarantee that your customers will get their email. Twitter can get the message out. What would a 900 people list be worth to you? What if you could do it in 90 days or less? And when you post to Twitter, the message will go on their page.
The basic question you'll be answering is "What are you doing", it's how you answer this that make it an effective tool. You don't want to be Twitter Spam, but you also want to give your followers an opportunity to connect with you.
"What 3 Fragrances of candles did you recently buy?" would be a good way to get a conversation going as well. A follower can direct message (dm) their replies
to you, letting you know what people are buying, How much is that worth?
It's this two way conversation and the ability to share what your doing that creates the new Web 2.0 relationship with your customers and clients. Major companies would be smart to plug in and listen to what people are saying. I
recently posted about an issue I've had with Dell and the $4000 notebook I've had trouble with from day one. It's a PR challenge for them, but also an Opportunity to make things right. - 17285
